Working with University of Westminster architecture students, we designed and detailed a new temporary pavilion using the facilities available in their in-house digital fabrication workshop (the Fab Lab).
We met the students and their tutor, Maria Kramer, to help them develop a workable design and realise it in reality. Once we completed the detailed structural analysis design and detailing, the students prepared the 3D model for fabrication purposes. In the Fab Lab they manufactured all the elements and, with the help of an experienced contractor – Weber Industries, they built the pavilion in their own courtyard for the 2018 summer show.
