Space Gap Pavilion – lightweight, economic and energetic

Space Gap is a pavilion exploring the disparity of space allocation in London. We worked with Unknown Works to help them make their vision a reality: to make physical the disparity between those with space and those without.

The pavilion structure needed to create areas with a sense of density and others with a feeling of openness. We helped improve stability and strength of the structure, while keeping costs to a minimum, proposing a sensible structural arrangement, connections and cladding choices, aiming to make the pavilion simple, quick and economic to build.
