This project added a rear rear extension to an existing Victorian terraced property. Paul Archer has developed a dramatic and structurally challenging intervention to the existing property.

The extension uses reinforced concrete below-ground, and timber frame structure above. The timber upper level cantilevers beyond the concrete walls below, supported entirely by the timber floor joists. No steelwork has been used.

We also opening up the inside of the property and created a sub-terrain bike store in the front garden pavement vaults.
