Amsterdam Bridge Competition

We have collaborated with Takero Shimazaki Architecture for a competition to design a pedestrian bridge in Amsterdam.

The use of a tensegrity structure allows the deck to be free to perform. The surface levels and sheer, fabric canopies are arranged rhythmically, whilst the structure pushes and pulls through. This collaboration creates spaces for people to meander, meet, drink, talk, people watch and cycle through. Swarms of people and activity freely take place on the playful form.
